Geochemical and Mineral waste laboratory services

With regards to environmental sustainability, the fundamental goal of waste management is prevention, re-use, recycling and recovery. Geochemical and mineral waste analysis forms part of the waste hierarchy and aims to reduce impacts of waste. In testing various types of mineral waste in our laboratory, Aquatico provides an avenue for the client to:
  • Characterisation of waste (waste rock, etc.) in terms of potential acid generation
  • Characterisation of wastewater works sludge
  • Kinetic testing of waste for long term determination of acid generating potential
  • Characterisation of mineral waste for potential disposal to land
